1. Who We Are

This website is operated by The Mentawai Experience, trading as Through Strangers Eyes (ABN 25 284 145 626), based in Burleigh Heads, Queensland, Australia. By accessing throughstrangerseyes.com.au or renting the film, you agree to these terms. We may update or remove content at any time without notice.

2. Film Rental (Pay-Per-View)

The documentary is available to rent for AUD $10.00 (one-time payment). Renting grants you a personal, non-commercial licence to stream the film for 24 hours from the time of purchase. After 24 hours your access expires automatically, and you may rent again.

• • Access is for one viewer at a time. You may move your access between your own devices using the secure link we email you.
• • Sharing your access link, or attempting to download, record, redistribute, or re-stream the film, is prohibited and may result in access being revoked.
• • Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
• • You need a modern web browser and an internet connection. We are not responsible for playback issues caused by your own device, browser, or connection.

3. Refunds & Consumer Guarantees

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits those rights.

• • If the film fails to stream due to a fault on our side, for example the video will not play or your valid access does not work, you are entitled to a remedy. That may be re-supplied access or a refund.
• • Because the rental is a digital product delivered immediately, we do not offer change-of-mind refunds once you have started watching, except where the law requires it.
• • If you hit a technical problem, contact us at info@throughstrangerseyes.com.au during your rental period and we will help or arrange a refund where appropriate.
• • Refunds are returned to your original payment method via Stripe.

4. Email & Communications

When you rent the film, we send you transactional emails (your receipt and access link) that are necessary to deliver what you bought. If you join our email list, you also consent to updates about the film, future episodes, and the premiere. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email. We do not sell or share your email address. See our Privacy Policy for how your data is handled.

5. Premiere Event: Tickets

The Mentawai Experience premiere is scheduled for a venue on the Gold Coast, Australia.

• • Tickets are non-refundable once purchased, except as required by law.
• • Tickets may be transferred to another person. Contact info@throughstrangerseyes.com.au to arrange a transfer.
• • We may change the event date, time, or venue. If the event is cancelled, tickets are fully refunded.
• • Registering interest on this website is not a ticket purchase and does not guarantee entry.

6. Intellectual Property

All film footage, photography, written content, and branding associated with The Mentawai Experience are the intellectual property of Blair Rubock and Through Strangers Eyes. Reproduction, distribution, or commercial use of any content without written permission is prohibited. Members of the press may request review materials at info@throughstrangerseyes.com.au.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to the consumer guarantees in section 3, The Mentawai Experience and its operators are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this website, the film rental, or attendance at the premiere, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
