The Story
Blair in the Mentawai Islands
Before

A life that made sense.

Blair Rubock had a trade, a routine, and a quiet certainty he was on the right track. He wasn't struggling. He wasn't broken. He just felt, somewhere underneath all of it, that something was missing.

The Pull

Not logic. An impulse.

An inexplicable pull toward the jungle, toward a people he'd never heard of, toward a world with no room for who he thought he was. He couldn't explain it. He went anyway.

The Tribe

A mirror in the jungle.

The Mentawai have lived the same way for thousands of years. Not because they can't change. Because they've chosen not to lose what matters. In their world, Blair found everything modern life had quietly stripped from him.

After

He came back different.

He still had a life to return to. A trade, a routine, a world built on wanting more. But the man who stepped back into it wasn't the same one who left. He's still working out what to do with that.
